Or somehow add mod-or workshop-support and let the fans try - there sure would be many good ones after a while. But if you drive them for 10 years or so, there's little reason for not just adding some totally different stages for a new experience. Your idea with adding new stages that have nothing to do with WRC is a guite good one, would really like that, too! The WRC stages are great, no question. Same even with Wales - such a boring looking stage, but in WRC they made even that one looking good. When I switch back to DR 2 and compare, let's say New Zealand - then WRC gets like 10/10 points in stage design and DR 2 would get about 2-3. Most DR2 stages are looking so dreary, compared to WRC. The stages in WRC 8+9 are really SO much better than in DR1+2. Or some totally new biomes and environments that real WRC never races in.Įdit: I don't mean making imaginary stages INSTEAD of real WRC stages, I mean adding imaginary stages along with all the existing real life ones. Like racing around a volcano or somesuch.

I would hope they would include ALL 8 and 9 stages plus a bunch more.Īnd this is controversial among real-life WRC fans I'm sure, but I'd prefer if they start making up new stages that have nothing to do with real WRC, just to add even more variety and replayability to the game. So for me (hardcore player but less than casual real-life WRC fan), the more stages, the better.

All I care about are the stages, which are so much better, with so much more hand-crafted variety than Dirt Rally 2, that it's what converted me over to this series 100%. When WRC 10 is out there'll be little reason to buy 9 anymore. But if you want to buy 9 you should do it now. The steps between the games are smaller but big enough I think. If you can wait another five months you should do that and buy 10. So which one you should buy? WRC 10 will include almost everything from 9 plus much more. The physics of 9 are a little bit better (specially on snow and tarmac) but that's more evolution than revolution. New will be the livery creator in career mode and a historic mode (and maybe more which isn't announced yet).

In WRC 9 you have the Clubs (there you can design your own online challange), Photo mode (make photos from your car on the stages) and Co-Driver mode (online multiplayer for two: driver and co-driver) new compared to 8. WRC 10 will have over 20 historic cars so I think all from WRC 9 + some new.

Historic cars: In WRC 9 you have all historic cars from 8 (including DLCs) for free + Citroen C3 2019 + two new free cars + two new DLC cars. The big question: What about Arctic Rally Finland? Today not announced as part of WRC 10 but who knows? The last two aren't announced yet (so maybe New Zealand will be one of them). And there'll be six historic rallies in 10: Acropolis and San Remo are new, Argentina and Germany will be the same like in 8 I think. New Zealand isn't part of 21 and so maybe also not part of WRC 10 but the other new WRC-9-rallies will be. In WRC 10 we'll have also new rallies: Estonia, Belgium, Croatia and Spain from the 21 season. © 2022 Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC.Kenya, New Zealand, Japan and also new Portugal and Finland rallies (but the ones from 8 are included too because the new ones came as updates).
